iPod Touch Wiki – ITMA Project
Over the past month or so I have been creating a Wiki page that will house tutorials, lesson plans, and resources that have one theme in common; using an iPod Touch in the classroom. If you would like to check out the progress of it you can view the it here: H.B. Whitehorne Tech Wiki. The Wiki is still a work in progress with the iPod Touch sections almost complete. The other sections will be worked on in the coming weeks.
The Wiki is part of my ITMA Project and Report through Virginia Tech. I wanted to create a digital learning tool that could be used by my colleagues as well as other educators. The idea behind the Wiki is for it to be a resource for educators who might not be that tech-savvy and that need a starting point to use 21st Century learning in their classrooms. Besides an iPod Touch section the Wiki will house sections integrating Flip Video Cameras into the classroom, as well as, tutorials and ways to use iTunes, Garageband, and iMovie in one’s teaching. The Wiki is also in efforts because of a potential grant I won awarding my school close to $20,000 to purchase the iPod Touches, Flip Video Cameras, MacBook Pros, and other mobile learning tools.
I hope to have the Wiki done by the end of July.
